Anthro Day!

Today is Sunday and therefore it's a day of relaxation and of course a little bit of shopping. I took a trip to my favorite store, Anthropologie, and took a few shots of some dresses I've had my eye on recently.
This blue one I mistakenly didn't take a picture of the back. It's very interesting with a lot of separate pieces of fabric creating a "V" shape. The front has a classic shift neckline and flowy bottom. Even with the large print it's sliming and flattering - perfect for an office! This is no longer available online so if you find it in stores snatch it up!

(Overwhelmed Aster Dress) This one is also not available online. Again, if you find this in stores and have a place to wear it to definitely grab this as well. It's gorgeous. It has a full skirt with a slight sweatheart neckline. I am going to a wedding in August and decided this is the perfect dress for it. I have a very small bust and didn't have any problems with the top portion. It's an A-line dress and flattering for any body type. When I think of Anthropologie I think of this dress. Girly and gorgeous!
(Night and Day Dress) This dress also has a full skirt but wasn't as dressy as the black and white one. I could get away with wearing this to work and not being too overdressed. It wasn't my favorite of the bunch but it was comfortable and had a cute style to it. I love how the bottom portion starts at your natural waistline so it creates curves while still maintaining it's innocent feel. I also love dresses that hide your tummy so you don't have to worry about what to eat! :) However the only downside was I thought it made me look younger than I am. I may wait for this one to go on sale before I make a final decision.
(Cultivated Maxi Dress) This last dress was absolutely beautiful on top but the length just dwarfed me. I loved the print, the colors and the fit but couldn't get away with the maxi style length in my everyday life. Even with large heels this dress still wouldn't have worked for me. If you are tall this dress would be darling on you! Plus this one was on the sale rack which is always a plus. This is yet another one that I tried to find online afterwards and couldn't. It's a rare piece from their summer collection so if you have an Anthro store nearby it's definitely worth a try-on.

I hope everyone else is having wonderful Sundays! I recently saw Super 8 which I'll blog about next week... I want to give everyone else a chance to see it as well. Happy shopping!

Anthro Undies

It didn't take long for me to realize what an impact having great underwear can have on your confidence. It completely transforms my attitude when I put on something dainty and lacy in the morning. My new loves? The Anthropology intimates collection. I recently snatched up the morning glory collection but here are a few other favorites for summer:

Six Holy Grail Products

If you're like me, you've visited makeupalley.com a time or two...especially when you're searching for the best makeup brands to purchase. Everyone using that site usually marks a particular product their "Holy Grail" or their must-have product. I can never mark just one as my favorite so I've come up with six "Holy Grail" products that I find to be particularly spectacular for the summer.
I hope my favs can now become some of yours as well - enjoy!

The first product is
great for us fair girls with pink undertones.
It's hard to find products that won't wash out the color in your skin and this moisturizer by the The Body Shop brings a pinkish/purple tint that truly enhances fair skin. The moisturizer is also light enough for the summer weather.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Illuminating Moisture Cream

The next product makes it so I rarely even have to wear foundation. This evens out my skin to perfection and again...adds a slight pink touch to skin.

Loreal Studio Secrets Magic
Perfecting Primer

This third product not only can be used as a great daily exfoliating scrub but can be used as a mask on particularly oily days as well. After a long day of work
I put this on my face and leave it there for a few minutes before
washing off and it leaves my skin glowing. I've always had problem skin as an adult and Neutrogena products are the only ones I found to be worth while. Haven't broken out since I started using this!

Neutrogena Acne Stress Control Micro Scrub

If you can't tell I'm obsessed with skin care!
This is a moisturizer that I use at night and this particular
product has been my savior. It changed my skin completely
and made my search for glowing skin complete. This is great
for women of all ages. My mom and I both use and
praise this moisturizer. It's a little pricey but
worth the $$$.

L'Occitane Immortelle Precious Cream

Oh yes - the best lip balm on the planet! This little guy
is $22.50 but I've never had lips so soft. And with the tinted
version I have a fabulous light color for my lips during the day
while keeping them moist and spf 15 protected
during all hours. I couldn't go one day
without this one safely by my side at all times.

Fresh Sugar Plum Tined Lip Treatment

And lastly I can't get through the summer without
my Stila eyeshadow palette. Their colors are light,
create a slight shimmer to eyes and adds a nice pop
of color without looking too over done. The palette that I'm currently using is discontinued but I could pick up just about any one and find a new color to fall in love with. Plus it comes with an awful lot of colors/blushes for just $16.
